Hear the story of how an Orthodox rabbi who was jailed in his fight against racial injustice
Rabbi Saul Berman, a well-known congregational rabbi, professor and author, was a leader in the Soviet Jewry movement in the '60s and '70s. He has been named in Newsweek as one of America's 50 most influential rabbis. In March 1965, he participated in voter registration efforts in Selma and was imprisoned just prior to the famous march from Selma to Montgomery.
