RABBI ANTHONY KNOPF

Rabbi Anthony Knopf is a Rabbi and community educator from Manchester, England who previously served as Associate Rabbi at Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue in London and as Rabbi of Camps Bay Shul in Cape Town. From a Bnei Akiva background, Knopf got his BA in Theology from Cambridge University in 2002 and achieved his Semicha in 2006 from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg in Israel.

“I teach Torah in a way which shows its relevance to the issues people grapple with in everyday life and to social justice. I am passionate about understanding and teaching Jewish values and exploring the ways in which communities can reflect those values. I believe strongly in the power of community to bring out the best in people and to form a space for applying and living Jewish values.”

Rabbi Knopf is married to Carly and has four children: Dovid, Rachelli, Yehuda and Avrami.

RABBI HESHY BENSHIMON

Shaliach Tzibur

Rabbi Heshy Benshimon is a native Montrealer who graduated from the Rabbinical College of Montreal in 2007 and got his degree in scriptural writing in Melbourne Australia.

​From 2008-2010, Rabbi Benshimon studied Rabbinic Ordinance and got his degree in slaughtering and rabbinic ordination. He lived in Israel for six months and then moved back to Montreal and gave Torah classes in the Yeshiva and Beth Rivkah, and continued writing scriptures.

​Rabbi Benshimon is married to Sarah and has five children: Natan, Shalom, Menachem Mendel, Miriam and Chaviva
