Dear Beth Ora Members,
I hope this email finds you well. As you may be aware, our synagogue is preparing for the annual board meeting (AGM), which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21st in our Banquet Hall.
Our Nominating Committee has worked diligently to identify and recruit individuals who are passionate about our community and have the skills and experience needed to help our synagogue thrive. We are grateful for their hard work and dedication.
The proposed slate of board and executive members, as prepared by the Nominating Committee, for the 2023-2025 term will be presented at the upcoming AGM for approval. We encourage all members to attend and participate in this important process.

Dear Beth Ora Family,
A few days ago you received the nominations for the Executive and Board to serve the 2023-2025 term.
Should anyone wish to run against a nominee, you can find the pertinent information here. For more in depth information please consult the guidelines laid out in the Constitution.
8.0 ELECTIONS
8.0e. This notice states that nominations will be open this year until May 17 during which time additional nominations may be submitted. Each additional nomination must be signed by 5 members in good standing and must include the name of the nominee and the position that he/ she is being nominated for. The written acceptance by the member of such nomination shall accompany the foregoing submission.
9.0 VOTING PROCEDURES
9.0c Voting at General Meetings shall take place openly, except in cases of contested elections, which shall be by closed ballot. The presiding officer shall have the casting vote in the event of a tie.
9.0e Proxy voting is permitted for a General Meeting providing that a date- specific, official and duly completed proxy form, which is available from the Secretary of the congregation, has been submitted to the Secretary in writing or email prior to the commencement of said meeting. The proxy form is applicable to only one specific meeting.
9.0f Voting at meetings can take place via one’s physical presence, telephone or any other technological media.
The AGM will be held on JUNE 21, 2023 at 7:30pm in the Banquet Hall. At this time we don’t own the hardware to facilitate having Zoom as well. We are looking into this option though and we hope to make it possible.
