Shalom Friends!

I hope that this letter finds you well. Baruch Hashem, we are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel here in Quebec! Last week, we welcomed the biggest Beth Ora synagogue attendance since before the pandemic. I hope that in the coming weeks, more of you will feel comfortable and excited to return to Beth Ora and pray with our community.

In the meantime, activities continue at Beth Ora and we are particularly excited for this week's Bat Mitzvah ceremony! We wish Mazeltov to Chloe Attias, Olivia Benhaim, Hannah Berson-Klein, Willa Grodinsky, Jayme Melnik and their families on reaching this milestone! A big yasher koach to Eric Dym and Rebbetzin Carly for their excellent leadership and outstanding dedication to this program!

In my sermon on Shabbat, I spoke about the importance of teachable moments - circumstances in which we have the choice of how to behave and the way we choose to respond can be an example and inspiration to those around us. As we take bigger steps to returning to regular community life, we all have the opportunity and responsibility to behave in a way which respects each individual in our Beth Ora family. Through doing this, we will not only succeed in returning to community life as it was before the pandemic; we will build a renewed and enhanced growth, vibrancy, and warmth in our community.

It is a privilege to continue this journey together.

Shabbat Shalom!
