Shalom Friends!

I hope this letter finds you well. The gradual progression of Quebec’s vaccination program gives us all hope that, before long, we can all come together in safety. In the meantime, please do continue to take advantage of Beth Ora’s programs and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you at this time.

Last night, we hosted a wonderful Ready, Steady, Cook program in which our incredible contestants – Polly Storozum, Cheryl Krukin, Steven Kronish and Champion Glenn Caron – cooked up some fantastic pizza in their kitchens before attendees voted on the most original and tasty-looking result! But it was also an opportunity for lots of Beth Ora members to see each other and re-connect as a community.

Wednesday and Thursday of this week are designated as Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut. Last night after the pizza program, I watched some Yom HaZikaron videos with Dovid and Rachelli. I encourage you to watch them as we reflect on just a few of the heroic individuals and families who gave so much for the State of Israel. They are heroes for us all and remind us what it is to live lives of meaning and service.

Here are the videos:
Heroes of Israel - Roi Klein
Yom Hazikaron - a Personal or National Day of Remembering
For Yom Ha’atzmaut, be sure to join the Montreal Israel Day Rally at 7:30 PM this evening. I recommend the following videos for getting into the spirit of the day, and appreciating the blessing and miracle of the State of Israel:
Israel: A Land of Living Prophecy
Tekes Ma'avar - a transition ceremony from Yom Hazikaron to Yom Ha'atzmaut
Global Hallel
Wishing you a meaningful Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut Sameach!
